René Bry established his workshops in 1937 at rue Sainte-Anne before moving to avenue de l'Opéra. The company rapidly became one of the largest workshops in Paris and their boutique Bry & Cie was opened in 1944 and is situated today at 15, rue de la Paix. They manufactured haute joaillerie and in 1949 also launched their collection of Gerbe de blé jewellery. At the Brussels World Exhibition in 1958 they were awarded the Grand Prix. The company was run by René Bry until 1997, followed by Claude Bry and today is being managed by Jean Marc and his brother Frédéric Bry.
