The Maison Cusi of Milan, located at 21 via Montenapoleone, was founded in 1886 by Annibale Cusi (1863-1930). He was awarded the first prize at the 1906 Universal Exposition of Milan for a necklace in "platinuralium" an exceedingly light alloy. In 1915, he became purveyor to the Duke of Aosta and the Count ofTurin. Upon Annibale's death in 1930, he was succeeded by his son, Rinaldo. The firm has remained in family hands ever since. It is currently headed by Giorgio Nicola.
