Dusausoy was founded in Paris in 1880. Located at 41 boulevard des Capucines, Jean and Justin Dusausoy were particularly renowned for their creations during the Art Deco period. According to “Bijoux Art Déco” by Sylvie Raulet (Editions du Regard, Paris, 1984), the designer Madeleine Chazel greatly aided their firm. They exhibited in the “Bijouterie-Joaillerie” section of the 1925 Exposition des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Additionally, on the occasion of the 1929 Musée Galliera exhibition of decorative arts, Dusausoy worked alongside Henri Vever to create a retrospective of the parure as it was 100 years before. The firm closed its doors in 1980.
