Robert Badir, of half Egyptian and half French origin, entered the jewellery world when he opened a small stall in Gray's Antique Market of London. His jewellery, which was never signed, consisted of juxtapositions of “objets trouvés”, favouring unexpected combinations. His clients included the late Diana, Princess of Wales as well as Princess Michael of Kent. Today, he lives in retirement.
